ARTIST STATEMENT
These two works explore the fluidity of self as experienced within dreams, those uncanny moments where the body becomes unfamiliar, shifting between states of being. Through bold, pop-art inspired compositions, each painting captures the surreal sensation of existing in a world unbound by logic.
The faces melt subtly into the hands, blurring the boundaries between touch and identity. One work features a palette of purples and reds, creating visual intensity and warmth; the other uses blues and greens to build contrast and a sense of detachment.
These palettes heighten the sensory ambiguity and dreamlike atmosphere of each piece. Together, they offer a window into the strange intimacy of the subconscious—a place where the body is felt more than seen, and the self is always shifting, always in flux.
They do not seek to define the dream, but rather to dwell within its sensation.
